Bailee Ankrom, LMFTA

Bailee Ankrom, LMFTA

Marriage and Family Therapist
WA
I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in who you actually are — not who you think you “should” be. My role is to offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can slow down, reflect, and better understand your inner world and your relationships. Together, we will explore patterns, emotions, and experiences with curiosity rather than criticism. Therapy isn’t about fixing you — it’s about helping you build clarity, resilience, and a deeper connection to yourself and others. As a systemic therapist, I consider factors beyond what is presenting in the room, honoring my clients as both autonomous individuals and as members of larger systems. I support clients in making sense of their life stories and integrating the various parts of their identities so they can live in ways that feel more congruent and aligned. Outside of my work, I spend my time traveling back to Northern California to visit family, paddle boarding with my dog, Dakota, or camping in national parks. When the weather turns colder, I enjoy reading, skiing, and playing board games. If you’re looking for a therapist who values both reflection and practical growth, I’d be glad to connect.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In my therapeutic work, I operate from a client-centered perspective and lean on tools from Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative techniques. In sessions that means that I have a collaborative approach to goal setting and session structuring. I support my clients as they find the balance between accepting the opportunities that life has given them and forging their own path. Together we can unpack old storylines and roles that used to be protective but are no longer serving you to make room for a new version of you moving forward. I received a BA in psychology from the University of San Diego along with minors in English and Philosophy. During my time in San Diego I also worked as a summer camp supervisor for the Y and a personal trainer at my campus gym. After graduating I made my way up to Seattle for the Masters in Couples and Family Therapy program at Seattle University. While completing my masters program I participated in a yearlong internship at a group practice where I gained firsthand experience working directly with children, families, couples, and individuals.
