I saw her with a very complicated situation as i have a number of other chronic illnesses that I'm trying to heal. She listened to my whole backstory and notated every detail. She validated me and comforted me. Helped me formulate a plan going forward.
Honestly, I cried tears of relief because I feel she is the first doctor in so long that didn't rush me and that really listened to my situation and made me feel like someone cares. Then she made sure I was laughing before the end of the call.
I know that this sounds like a lot, but it's very true. I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders and I will have a better chance of improving my health in the most holistic and efficient way possible. Thank you and I truly look forward to our next appointment.

1000 words is not enough to describe how wonderfully professional and attentive Dr. Bariasa Kanabolo was during our first visit. I had seen mixed reviews and the negative ones must have been having a bad day because since I moved to California in December she is by far the best practitioner I have seen, and I’ve been on the hunt for an excellent medical team for my medication management, mental health and general wellbeing. She asked questions to get an entire picture of my background and medical history and then requested what she needed from me to see exactly what she could do to help. There was no wait. She spent an hour with me, she was kind, professional, she explained things in a way I was able to understand, she was thorough and helped me to book my follow-up. I have a unique situation moving from NY to CA with a lengthy medical history and she helped me feel whole again and I cannot wait to see her in person for a follow up in a week! 10/10 recommend, 5 star doctor and human!

She doesn't want to listen, just wants to fit you into her premade assumptions about what you're probably like. A lot of time is wasted because she is slow at transcribing her notes. I felt very judged for sharing personal information and she was not very warm. Told me I to talk too much. I think she is a good fit for older clients, but not relatable for younger people.
