I am a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care across the lifespan. My professional journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to understanding each person beyond a diagnosis and helping individuals and families move toward greater stability, resilience, and hope. I completed my psychiatric nurse practitioner residency with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where I gained broad clinical experience caring for Veterans with complex mental health needs. This training strengthened my skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology, interdisciplinary collaboration, and individualized treatment planning. It also reinforced my belief that meaningful mental health care must honor each patient’s experiences, values, strengths, and personal goals. In addition to medication management, I value the important role of psychotherapy in supporting lasting change. I have completed specialized certification training through the Beck Institute in cognitive behavioral therapy for depression, anxiety, and autism spectrum disorder. I am also continuing to expand my expertise in autism evaluation and will attend ADOS-2 training at Stanford in September 2026. My clinical focus includes psychiatric care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I strive to create a therapeutic environment in which patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to participate in their care. My goal is not only to reduce symptoms, but also to help each person build confidence, improve daily functioning, strengthen relationships, and rediscover a sense of purpose. I view psychiatric care as both a science and a human connection. Through ongoing education, thoughtful clinical practice, and genuine compassion, I remain committed to walking alongside my patients as they navigate challenges and work toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
