Listened well and good communicator
A concerned and compassionate provider, Dr. Richman is supportive, helpful, and creative in suggesting new approaches whenever warranted. He has helped me to be more accepting of myself, to improve my quality of life tremendously, and to push for more of the things I want. He's grounded, helpful, and pragmatic, and has enabled me to move forward with more momentum, and on a stronger footing, than I would have thought possible when I first started working with him. He's terrific!

Video visit
My first time having a video visit and Dr. Richman....He made it very easy and convenient. He was terrific and very helpful with my symptoms explaining various options for treatment. Overall I highly recommend him!
I’ve never seemed professional help for my anxiety before so it was scary when I met with Dr. Richman the first time. But he began asking questions and made me feel at ease and that I’m not alone in my struggle and made me feel a lot better. We discussed a medication regimen for me to follow to assist with my anxiety and we’ve been digging deeper into the core of my issues. He asks insightful questions that have given me a lot to think about and I always end up coming to our next session with even more questions. I greatly appreciate Dr. Richman for being here along with me during my journey to get mentally better.

Dr. Richman is always a pleasure to speak with. He is warm, personable, easy to speak with and offers interesting and helpful perspectives. He has been a valuable resource and someone I rely on.
Dr Richman is an expert in his field. He helps his patients vocalize their issues and works endlessly with them to understand the cause of these issue and develop strategies to over come them
Excellent visit with Dr. Richman who is courteous, attentive, professional and always gets to the heart of the matter. He is a great doctor!
Awesome!!!
My visit with Dr Richman was really great. He was able to accommodate a last-minute request for an appointment, even for a first-time patient, which I've found has been incredibly difficult to find. He is very thorough, attentive, and offers non-leading insights. He does not judge or condescend at all, which I've found to also be somewhat rare these days. He suggested a treatment plan which I am comfortable with, didn't just throw a prescription pad at me, and I am really pleasantly surprised and happy to have found a great doctor to work with going forward.
Insightful. Helpful. Welcomed questions. Was very comfortable to talk to. Put me at ease with the diagnosis and recommended options I front of me.

While not particularly warm, Dr Richman impressed me on my first visit. Not only his medical acumen but how easily blended it was with more therapy-based conversation. I liked his approach enough to agree trying out therapy with him as well.
Thank-you Dr. Richman for your continuous support even outside office hours. You have reflected how much progress we have made today since day one.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! I went to him for a second opinion on my bi-polar meds.He was very direct. He asked great questions? I've never felt so listened to.
This is my first psychiatry consultation and I am glad I chose Dr. Richman through Zocdoc. Dr. Richman was a good a listener, took a lot of notes and was very insightful in his response. I felt comfortable and confident after my visit.
He's very attentive and keeps comprehensive records which he regularly refers to in subsequent sessions. Dr. Richman is extremely careful in prescribing medications then tracking their side effects and efficacy over the long term. I find him to be an extremely conscientious physician.
Dr Richman is excellent! I had a wonderful consultation, I felt very comfortable and it was a seamless transition for continuing psychiatry treatment out of state! Great to know you dont have to jump through too many hoops continuing treatment after moving back to NYC!

Dr. Richman listens carefully. He is able to get to the heart of the matter, and give very helpful feedback. I highly recommend him.
Very nice and Helpful
I was hesitant to select a psychiatrist from an internet site, but I'm so glad I did. I see Dr. Richman for medication and therapy, both of which are extremely helpful. He is unbelievably insightful, solution oriented, and a warm, compassionate and professional physician. I recommend him very highly!
