I had two main issues. First and foremost, he wasn't a good listener. He never asked me what my health goals were. Just looked at my blood panel and told me to stop A and go on B. I'm very on top of my health and work in the biotech industry as a Senior Executive. I speak to doctors all day, some who are industry leaders on specific subjects. I read and evaluate clinical trials as part of my job. I know my stuff. The advice he was giving me was overly simplistic and not based on the latest research. For example, he say the drug I was taking was elevating my cholesterol. But, I get tested every 12 weeks and my cholesterol has gone down 25% since I've been taking this drug. I showed him my past 4 blood panels but he only looked at my latest one. In addition, I was trying to make a point but he cut me off and didn't allow me to finish what I wanted to say. He's the typical, "I'm a doctor and I know best archtype." I'm looking for someone a bit more modern and up to date.

The doctor was very nice and he made me feel very comfortable. The Staff was very nice as well. I saw a younger primary doctor last year that did not make me feel at ease. Maybe its the lack of experience that the younger generation of doctors do not have yet, But this older doctor was very pleasant and I would definitely see him again.

The entire staff was very friendly - going so far as to help sort out an issue with my insurance card and provide a print out of an updated card for me, right on the spot. Mostly, I observed how staff worked with another patient in the waiting room concerned about being able to contact medical staff with grace and patience for an individual experiencing a health issue. I was impressed and very glad to see how professional the staff was.

Dr. Wenglin was amazing. He was knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, thorough, and also had a sense of humor. He got me at an immediate appointment for a Doppler and explained everything that I needed to do before and after I can highly recommend this doctor to everyone.
The doctor and his staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable appreciated, and well taken care of.

Barry Wenglin is the most unprofessional, arrogant person who claims to be a doctor, that I have ever met. He threw me out of his office, and told me to find another doctor, after I attempted to share my thoughts and opinions about my condition and symptoms. He said to me, "Where did you get your medical degree?" I thought part of going to the doctor was to discuss your symptoms and condition. No discussion here. To him, I was just an ignorant twit. He did not have any patients. I came and hour and a half early and there was no one there. He took me right away, only to throw me out 10 minutes later. Now I understand why people turn to alternative medicine. Take this guy off of ZocDoc!

As a newcomer to White Plains, and my first visit to Dr Wenglin as my primary care physician, I was made welcome and the wait for the doctor was minimal. Dr. Wenglin was very congenial, and was curious as to what brought me to the area, the language I spoke, my previous PCP and the medication I was on. He is a good doctor, from my first visit, and hope he'll be my PCP for as long as I am in the area.
