Amanny Wellness offers virtual/telepsychiatry visits and is accepting new patients. We are dedicated to bringing wellness to the body, mind, and spirit through medical science, nutritional psychiatry, and various non-pharmacological interventions to provide holistic care. Dr. Odero, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of South Alabama, provides compassionate, personalized, and culturally sensitive care. She utilizes evidence-based interventions to create unique, individualized treatment plans. She specializes in anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, grief, personality disorders, and other mental health conditions. Has a medication failed you in the past? Is your current medication not working? Does your medication cause unwanted side effects? We have great news! We are now offering pharmacogenomic testing by GeneSight to help reduce side effects and maximize medication effectiveness.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our approach to treatment centers on viewing the person as a whole. In addition, we provide medication management, nutritional psychiatry, supportive psychotherapy and also take consideration of other things that may impact mental health such as environmental and social factors. Our goal is to help each patient improve their quality of life. Therefore, if you are suffering, we are here to listen and provide comfort. You do not need to walk the journey alone. We are committed to destigmatizing mental health care and encourage you to seek help. "There is hope even when your brain tells you there isn't"- John Green. No prescriptions for stimulants such as Adderall or ongoing Benzodiazepines such as Alprazolam (Xanax), Clonazepam (Klonopin), Lorazepam (Ativan) will be ordered. You will be given a 5-7 days’ supply of Benzodiazepine such as Klonopin for Severe Anxiety and Panic Attack to be used as needed ONLY during crisis.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Ask you provider about Genesight ! At Amanny Wellness, Dr. Odero treats every patient uniquely based on the fact that every person is unique in their own way. Techniques utilized include listening, providing a tentative diagnosis and creating evidence based treatment plans that are unique to that person . Additionally, we also provide supportive psychotherapy. Be sure to notify the practice in a timely manner if you must cancel or reschedule your appointment. Thanks!
