Dr. Bechoy Abdelmalak is a board-certified psychiatrist. He is the founder and CEO of Wellness Medicine of New York. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the American University of Integrative Sciences School of Medicine and completed his Psychiatry residency at New York Medical College, Metropolitan Hospital Center. Dr. Abdelmalak also holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Misr University for Science and Technology and a Master’s in Psychopharmacology from the Neuroscience Education Institute. Currently, he serves as the Director of Inpatient Psychiatry at Metropolitan Hospital Center / New York Medical College. His goal has always been to improve mental health and help his patients regain control of their lives, academic performance, relationships, and overall well-being. He specializes in substance use, ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorders, and more. Additionally, Dr. Abdelmalak is a Psychiatric Emergency Department supervisor and has been nominated Supervisor of the Year on multiple occasions. He is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
