In my opinion, the role of a primary care provider is to provide comprehensive care by addressing both physical and behavioral health needs. This includes conducting thorough assessments, offering preventive measures, diagnosing and treating physical and mental health conditions, coordinating care with specialists, and providing ongoing support to manage patients' overall well-being.
A little about me: I am a candle maker and have been since COVID kept me at home for a short time in 2020. I also spend much of my free time traveling with my daughter, who is a World Champion equestrian competing on the Quarter Horse Circuit.

The doctor that I spoke to was very kind and honest. However, she was unable to prescribe me the medication that my former physician prescribed me. He side retired and left me with no refills. She attempted to prescribe the medication for at least five days, but the medical team would not allow to. Unfortunately, it was simply a waste of my time as well as hers. She is not to blame. The medical team at Zocdoc was not compassionate enough for my medical situation.

I did not end up having an actual appointment. As soon as she came on, she said they don’t do therapy/counseling, which I had requested and for which I was given an appointment. They only do medication management. It must have been a system error because she said that yesterday another first time patient had the same need for therapy, was given an appt, and had to be turned away from her, just like me. We only talked a few minutes and she cancelled the appt and said there would be no charge. But she was VERY VERY apologetic and very friendly under a difficult situation.
