Getting to know Benard Choi
Benard Choi, PMHNP-BC, understands that mental health issues can be challenging and significantly affect one's quality of life as well as that of their family. I have extensive experience treating patients with various mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, ADHD (with non-stimulants only, no stimulants), bipolar disorder, addiction problems, sleep disorders, and eating disorders, among others. I carry out thorough assessments using patient history and other relevant information. After obtaining a patient history, examining the patient, and making the correct diagnosis using DSM-5 criteria, I use evidence-based practices to develop an appropriate treatment plan. I prescribe the necessary medications and/or therapy to provide effective care. My focus is on delivering holistic, evidence-based care centered on the social, cultural, and preventive aspects of mental health. I hold a Master's in Nursing from Walden University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support my patients comprehensively.
What should a new client know about working with you?
After the first session, the client will expect to get the treatment plan/option which will be personalized in this case and He/she will be prescribed the right meds to manage the presenting problems/diagnosis.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I understand that everybody is different therefore I use a personalized approach to identify a unique treatment for every patient. I also make use of evidence-based approaches to come up with the appropriate treatment for you

Completely insufferable and constantly talks over you. I’d never recommend this nurse practitioner to anyone who cares about how their provider treats them. Avoid him at all costs; I know I will.
