Rigid. Rude. Judgmental. Bully. The last thing you want in your therapist is someone who passes judgment on you in your first session and starts to impose their own insecurities on you. He will only work with you as long as you confirm to his point of view. Your personal needs take a back seat. He will test you from time to time to see how you respond. The behavior is borderline manipulative. It’s not a safe environment. Complete opposite of what I would seek in a therapist. I am not sure if this is a money grab or some sort of a power trip, or both but save your money and your mental sanity and seek help elsewhere.

I think it was very helpful, since it started with me feeling depressed, unhappy with what was--and was not--happening in my life, and ended with me feeling more hopeful things could change for the better. The catalyst was the skillful way Dr. Roth listened and responded. I felt heard and understood at a deeper level than I could understand myself. This not only changed how I felt, my new understanding challenged me to adopt new, more rewarding behaviours.

Dr. Roth is very personable, an avid listener and a very valuable interpreter who has provided me with valuable insights into my issues, fears and concerns and as such has provided me with ideas and approaches that i can use in my life. I have reflected on my treatment with Dr. Roth and I can truly attest that he has been a significant and positive influence that i truly cherish.
