Getting to know Bernadine Anderson-Clarke
My name is Bernadine Anderson-Clarke. I am a family nurse practitioner and psychiatric nurse practitioner. I developed a passion for psychiatric medicine when I was seeking providers to refer my family medicine patients to. I soon realized that clients were coming back to me because they were not able to find care. I quickly enrolled in an intense program at Barry University, where I earned my Master's in Nursing. I am now dually certified in family medicine and psychiatric mental health.
What should a new client know about working with you?
New patient should know that I will work on their behalf. There are no judgement or stigma expressed during my session with them. I am friendly and kind. I am an attentive listener. I will offer resources available to them to improve their mental health. They will be heard and not rushed
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The typical session last for 45 minutes to one hour via telehealth
A screening tool is completed by client. and reviewed by provider
Intake questions are asked, symptoms are fully documented. complete history are obtained, family history, psychiatric history are attained. social history to include substance abuse, education level, employment, living arrangement, family status. support

the best psychiatrist ive ever had. only stopped seeing her because i moved and she was no longer in my network and im so sad about it. she genuinely listens to you, asks about how you are outside of just your medications, is so easy to love and genuinely just so amazing.

Dr Anderson-Clarke is very compassionate, and caring. Going to my therapy appointments do not so much feel as if they are a chore but a nice experience talking to someone that is trying to help me with out any judgement. She is very kind and sees what you need.
