Getting to know Dr. Bethany Brown

I'm a psychiatric and women's health nurse practitioner with 20 years of experience providing tele-psychiatry services for Michigan residents. I completed my education at the University of Michigan, earning a Master's in Nurse Midwifery and Women's Health Nursing as well as a certificate, and at Frontier Nursing University, where I obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. Over the years, I've specialized in areas like depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual health, sports psychology, adolescent and women's health, providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each individual. If you're seeking support in any of these areas, I'm here to help guide you through your journey with care and understanding. My approach to care is centered around providing compassionate, patient-centered support. I take the time to listen to each person's unique experiences and challenges, creating a safe and non-judgmental space for them. I integrate evidence-based practices with a holistic understanding of both mental and physical health, ensuring my patients feel empowered and supported in their journey to well-being. Building trust and offering personalized care is at the heart of what I do, especially when it comes to addressing emotional and mental health.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect to leave our sessions feeling heard, supported, and empowered to make decision for their health. They’ll gain a deeper understanding of their mental and physical health, as well as practical tools and strategies to cope with challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, and sexual health concerns. Together, we’ll work on creating a plan that’s tailored to their needs, fostering long-term well-being and self-confidence. Most importantly, they can expect a safe, non-judgmental space where their concerns are validated, and they’re guided with care and understanding.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I take a individualized approach. The first meeting will be up to 1 hour long and will involved a detailed history, initial diagnosis and getting to know your needs and goals. Your unique follow up plan will be depending on your needs.
