Dr. Beverly Drucker, MD

Oncologist
155 Crystal Run Rd, Middletown, NY
What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one? I’ve wanted to be a doctor since I was a child. Initially, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, but allergies made that path impossible. That led me to explore medicine—and I quickly realized there was nothing else I’d rather do. What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty? What I love most about oncology is seeing how rapidly scientific advancements are translated into patient care. It gives me hope for the future. Oncology also allows me to spend meaningful time with my patients, helping them define their goals and supporting their overall well-being. How do you connect with your patients? I believe the best way to connect with patients is by listening—truly listening—to their hopes, goals, and concerns. The most valuable part of any visit is the time we spend talking, sharing information, and understanding their story. What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)? I enjoy spending time in nature, tending to my garden, and getting lost in a good story—whether it’s a movie, book, or play. I especially love sharing these moments with my husband and children. What is your advice for your patients? Don’t be afraid to ask questions and always keep us informed about how you're feeling. Think of us as a team, our shared goal is to do what’s best for you.
