About Dr. Bharat Sanghavi
Dr. Bharat Sanghavi has been practicing gastroenterology for almost 30 years in the Gramercy Park area. He was trained in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Cabrini Medical Center in affiliation with New York Medical College. Currently, he is on the academic faculty of Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and continues to train specialists in gastroenterology and liver disease.
Dr. Sanghavi has a special interest in colonic polyps and proctology for non-surgical treatment of internal hemorrhoids. He has recently received a special award for teaching endoscopy to gastroenterology fellows at Beth Israel Medical Center. He performs diagnostic and therapeutic upper endoscopies, colonoscopies and esophageal dilations.
Dr. Sanghavi is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is a member of the American Medical Association and New York County Medical Society.

I have been here over 6 times to try and diagnose my stomach issue and there still has been no solution. Dr. Bharat Sangavi had me try multiple medications but every visit he didn't remember what I was on and would mix them up, which made me wary. I came in for multiple breath tests, and I saw different doctors each time so it was hard for me to get a diagnosis when the same person wasn't seeing me each time. After 6 visits, I still have stomach acid and issues with digestion, so now I have to get a second opinion.

Dr. Sanghavi is thus far the best gastroenterologist that I have run into. He is not only kind and patient, but also extremely knowledgeable and experienced within this field. He was able to diagnose an issue that I have been suffering from for 10 months now in an hour (both consultation and examination took an hour in total). I have been to three other gastroenterologists who all brushed off my conditions as "IBS" and "stress," and ultimately wasted my time and money. He was straightforward and efficient from the moment I met him, and I am super grateful for his diagnosis and help with my issues. I look forward to seeing him for treatments.
