About Dr. Bilal Farhan

Dr. Bilal Farhan is a fellowship-trained urologist and pelvic reconstructive surgeon specializing in advanced male and female urology, functional urology, voiding dysfunction, urinary incontinence, and reconstructive surgery. Before joining CLS Health, Dr. Farhan served as an Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), where he founded and developed the HoLEP Program and served as Program Director for Functional Urology and Voiding Dysfunction. He built a comprehensive subspecialty practice caring for both men and women with complex urinary and pelvic health conditions while training residents, fellows, and medical students. Dr. Farhan is recognized as a Center of Excellence surgeon in both HoLEP and Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS) surgery. He has extensive experience with HoLEP for enlarged prostate (BPH), including very large prostates, urinary retention, and complex BPH. He also specializes in male urinary incontinence, including artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) and male sling surgery, particularly following prostate surgery. His female urology and pelvic health practice includes urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, recurrent urinary problems, voiding dysfunction, urinary retention, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic floor disorders. His expertise includes midurethral sling surgery, pelvic reconstructive surgery, sacrocolpopexy, Botox therapy, sacral neuromodulation, and other advanced treatments for bladder and pelvic floor conditions. Dr. Farhan also has extensive experience in urethral stricture disease and complex urethral reconstruction, as well as minimally invasive and endoscopic treatment of kidney stones. His advanced fellowship training in functional, reconstructive, and pelvic urology complements years of academic practice, clinical research, resident and fellow education, national guideline review, and presentations at national and international scientific meetings.
