What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a true partnership. I do not believe in a top-down, "doctor-knows-best" approach, nor do I believe in simply writing a prescription and sending you on your way. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to bring rigorous, evidence-based medical expertise to help you achieve your specific goals. Here is what you can expect from our work together: A Comprehensive Perspective: During our initial evaluation, we won't just look at symptoms. We will look at the whole picture—your career demands, relationships, physical health, and lifestyle—to understand the root of what you are experiencing. Targeted & Efficient Care: I know your time is valuable. Our sessions will be focused, productive, and designed to yield tangible improvements in your daily life. A Judgment-Free Zone: Whether you are dealing with intense executive burnout, academic pressure, or complex relationship dynamics, you will be met with clinical objectivity, empathy, and absolute confidentiality. Sustainable Solutions: If medication is appropriate, we will discuss all your options in detail so you can make an informed choice. My ultimate goal is not just symptom management, but genuine mental health optimization so you can thrive in every aspect of your life. Taking the first step to seek psychiatric care can feel daunting, but you will be met with respect, warmth, and a clear path forward from day one.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is structured, thorough, and designed to yield measurable results. Because I work with high-performing individuals who have demanding schedules, I ensure that every step of our process is focused and efficient. 1. The Comprehensive Initial Evaluation Our work begins with an in-depth, 60-minute psychiatric consultation. During this time, we will do a deep dive into your current symptoms, medical history, career and academic stressors, and lifestyle. My goal during this first meeting is to understand your unique lived experience and identify the root causes of what is holding you back. 2. Collaborative Treatment Planning At the end of our initial evaluation, we will design a bespoke treatment roadmap together. This is a collaborative process. If medication is indicated, I will explain the science behind it, the expected timeline, and any potential side effects so you are fully informed. Your plan may also include targeted psychotherapeutic interventions, lifestyle adjustments, and strategies for mental health optimization. 3. Active Treatment & Optimization In our follow-up sessions, we will carefully track your progress against the goals we set on day one. We will refine and optimize your medication (if prescribed) to ensure maximum efficacy with minimal side effects. We will also address any ongoing stressors—such as workplace burnout or relationship challenges—using targeted, practical coping strategies. 4. Sustainable Maintenance My ultimate goal is not to keep you on treatment forever, but to equip you with the tools, stability, and resilience you need to thrive independently. Once you are feeling optimized and stable, our sessions will space out into routine maintenance check-ins to ensure you continue functioning at your highest level.

Welcome to The Lieberman Center for Psychotherapeutics. I'm Brad Lieberman, the founder, and I want to personally thank you for considering our practice. Navigating mental health care—especially the financial and insurance side of it—can be incredibly stressful. We believe in total transparency and a white-glove approach from day one, which is why I want to be completely upfront about our process and how we handle fees. We are an Out-of-Network (OON) practice, but we do things differently here. We don't just hand you a superbill at the end of the month and leave you to fight with your insurance company. We offer a true concierge billing experience. Here is exactly how our process works: Upfront Financial Mapping: Before you commit to ongoing care, we will personally run your Out-of-Network insurance benefits. We calculate exactly how much of your individual deductible remains and your specific reimbursement percentage. Crystal-Clear Estimates: We will send you a personalized, line-by-line financial breakdown. We map out exactly how many full-price visits it will take to meet your deductible, the math for the "crossover" visit when your coverage kicks in, and your estimated final out-of-pocket cost for all ongoing sessions. (Because insurance companies ultimately have the final say, please keep in mind that these are good-faith estimates based on the exact data your carrier provides us today. Final reimbursements can sometimes fluctuate based on their specific "allowed amounts" or policy changes, but we do everything in our power to give you the most accurate picture possible). We Handle the Claims: Once your treatment begins, we submit all out-of-network claims directly to your insurance company on your behalf. You focus on your mental health; we handle the paperwork.
