Getting to know Bradley Vessel

*Note that prior to the first session taking place with the provider, LifeStance will require a credit card on file. *A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required for cancellation of appointments or a cancellation fee will be charged. I truly believe that mental health is fundamental at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. It is also my belief that every individual is unique, with varying perspectives about life. From the initial interaction, I focus on providing an environment that is safe, comfortable, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive. This environment provides an opportunity to collaborate and establish a positive relationship with my clients. I am trained in the use of medication management, brief psychotherapy, and relaxation techniques to help individuals reach their desired goals. I have experience in treating a range of psychiatric conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma-related disorders, substance addiction, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders. My goal is to support and work collaboratively with my clients as they explore all aspects of themselves while working toward their treatment goals. I am board-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and my Master's in Family Nursing from Southern University, Baton Rouge. Fourteen years later, I pursued my Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I am also a war veteran currently serving in the Texas Army National Guard as a commander and medical provider. I have been fortunate to gain experience providing medical and psychiatric services in a wide variety of settings, including inpatient units, emergency departments, correctional facilities, military, detox, residential, inpatient substance abuse, and skilled nursing facilities.
