Getting to know Brandi Harris

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner licensed in Washington and Oregon. My approach to care is collaborative—I believe the most effective treatment comes from working together to understand your unique needs and goals, and identifying the treatment options that feel right for you. My role is to help you build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and support lasting improvements in your emotional well-being. I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, individualized medication management, and the integration of psychotherapy and evidence-based alternative therapies when appropriate. These may include lifestyle modifications, mindfulness practices, and targeted supplement use. I’m committed to a whole-person approach that addresses both mental and physical health to support balanced, sustainable wellness. I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from children to older adults, and with a wide range of mental health concerns. In my previous role, I served as the primary provider for a First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program, where I developed a strong interest and passion for treating psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar. My clinical focus and expertise include the treatment of mood disorders (bipolar and depression), anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and psychotic disorders. Whether you're exploring treatment for the first time, adjusting to a new diagnosis, or interested in refining an existing treatment plan, I am here to support you in moving forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner licensed in WA and OR. I became an RN in 2016 and primarily worked in a correctional setting where I gained experience working with psychiatric patients. I became a nurse practitioner in 2022 and worked in community mental health where I treated a variety of mental health disorders for individuals across the lifespan before transitioning to MindRx.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe in working collaboratively with clients and utilizing shared decision while formulating their treatment plan. I begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to get a full picture of the clients needs and goals, and then I work with the client to choose the treatment strategies that work best for them. I spend a lot of time on psychoeducation and thoroughly discussing risks and benefits of psychiatric medications to ensure that clients can make informed decisions regarding their care.
