He made time to do my annual once over and set me up for next year. It was so nice not to have to wait 3 to 6 months, like I have been told in my home state of Maine. It’s a big practice, which means you can get an appointment when you have a concern. I highly recommend Dr. Basehorn.”

About Dr. Brandon Basehore
Dr. Brandon Basehore grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia, and attended Virginia Tech (Let's Go Hokies!) for his undergraduate degree, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with minors in Medicine & Society, Chemistry, and Sociology. Afterward, he spent a year in Vail, Colorado, pursuing outdoor recreation before returning to the East Coast to attend West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. During medical school, he held leadership roles including SGA President, Student Ambassador to the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and Board of Trustees member of the West Virginia Osteopathic Medical Association. After graduating, he completed a Traditional Rotating Internship at Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Dr. Basehore completed his dermatology residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. His training included clinical settings such as the Veterans Affairs Hospital in West Palm Beach, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, and Cleveland Clinic Florida. He gained experience in complex medical dermatology, diagnosing and treating immunobullous and connective tissue disorders under Dr. Carlos Nousari. He developed surgical skills by performing surgeries alongside general dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons.
After residency, Dr. Basehore moved to Colorado Springs, where he practiced general dermatology, surgical dermatology, and Mohs surgery at a private clinic. He married his wife Jaclyn in October 2021, and in September 2023, they welcomed their daughter, Chloe. He is now a proud Girl Dad!
Outside work, Dr. Basehore enjoys outdoor activities including snowboarding, hiking, fishing, and golfing.
