What should a new client know about working with you?

DISCLAIMER: We are not able to accept Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time. My path to becoming a psychiatric clinician began in the early 2000s as a military RN, which later led me to earn my doctorate as a PMHNP. While serving as a military nurse and PMHNP, I helped many individuals and families struggling with mental illness receive care while far from home or their usual support systems. These combined experiences deepened my commitment to reaching those in need and providing high-quality mental health care. I bring a wide range of cultural perspectives, having lived in Texas, Kentucky, Georgia, Maryland, and Germany, which allows me to provide culturally sensitive, individualized care to patients from diverse communities.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I specialize in medication management, valuing close communication with patients and therapists alike to provide holistic mental health care. Prescribing the fewest medications necessary to treat your presenting conditions is central to my approach, and I partner with you to address the concerns you bring to our work. Together, we'll build a calm, caring, and collaborative environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to work toward your mental health goals. Care is tailored to your unique needs, and may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for insomnia, mindfulness and stress reduction techniques, and medication to support your treatment while helping you get the most out of your care.
