About Brett Roberts
Hi, I’m Brett Roberts, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
I started NextGen Diabetes Care after seeing too many patients overwhelmed by blood sugar numbers, restrictive diets, and rushed clinic visits. Diabetes management shouldn’t feel like a constant battle and it definitely shouldn’t be something you have to figure out alone.
Growing up in a rural northern New Hampshire community with limited healthcare resources, I saw firsthand how a lack of access to specialized care can impact families — including my own. That experience shaped my commitment to making diabetes care more accessible to all.
I attended Keene State College in Keene, NH where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and later returned to MCPHS University in Boston, MA to complete my Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
My clinical interests are rooted in preventative wellness, diabetes, metabolism, and weight management. I’m passionate about helping people make practical, sustainable lifestyle changes that improve their health and quality of life.
My approach is practical, evidence-based, and tailored to your personal goals. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or navigating diabetes long-term, my mission is to help you feel empowered, supported, and heard. Every step of the way!

If you are looking for improved support for your diabetes challenges, a provider who wants to hear how things have been for you and understands the obstacles you face. I highly recommend, Brett Roberts at NextGen Diabetes Care LLC. I did not feel rushed and after reviewing my history a plan will be implemented and discussed. Sometimes you just can't do it all on your own. I feel like Brett is on my side.

Brett gave us so much information and was easy to communicate with when learning how to help my mom manage her diabetes. He was the only provider that actually gave us enough information to know how to properly use insulin.

I started seeing Brett to help with my hypoglycemia. had read my medical records before my appointment to familiarize himself with what brought me to him as a (2nd time) new patient. He listened to everything I had to say, I wasn’t rushed and I felt like my health mattered. He answered all of my questions and provided a lot of information as well as suggesting a new medication in place of one that wasn’t working very well for me. He connected to my Dexcom G7 app so he could monitor my progress with the new medication which I’ve been on now for almost a month and my numbers have improved tremendously and i’m already feeling a difference for the better. He’s kept in close contact with me in between appointments. It is just such an amazing feeling to have a health care provider who genuinely cares about my health and well being!

I am very impressed with how well Brett listens and asks questions about how I am feeling. He has adjusted my insulin levels and I am feeling much better. We reviewed all my medications and discussed the next steps. I will continue my care through NextGen.

Brett is very thorough and showed interest in my health and wellbeing. He listened to my concerns and came with solutions that absolutely mattered to me. You don’t always get that personal touch from a provider; Brett is certainly an exception!
I scheduled my first visit and was seen about a week later - previous to that I was on a 3-month wait list for a diabetes consult for a larger hospital. Happy to say I’m on track with my diabetes care A LOT sooner.
Anyone reading this: Give Brett a shot, I guarantee you will happy with your choice!

My visit went very well. Brett takes his time to listen and ask questions. He does not rush through your appointment. We discussed options for treatment with no pressure, very thorough and gives you time to decide what you would like to do next. It is wonderful to feel like a patient and not a customer being rushed in and out of appointment.
