My approach to therapy is rooted in a deep belief in the power of connection and collaboration. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can express yourself openly, without fear of stigma or shame. In our work together, I focus on understanding your unique experiences, challenges, and goals, tailoring treatment to meet your individual needs. I blend evidence-based practices with a holistic, person-centered approach, ensuring that we address not only the symptoms but also the underlying factors contributing to your mental health concerns. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I also offer medication management as part of our comprehensive approach, prescribing and monitoring medications when necessary to support your mental health journey. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, mania, grief, substance abuse, relationship issues, or self-esteem challenges, I prioritize your autonomy, empowerment, and long-term well-being. I believe every individual has the capacity for growth and healing, and I’m here to support you in discovering and cultivating your own strength. Starting therapy is a big step, and the first session will lay the foundation for our partnership. I’ll ensure you feel empowered, supported, and informed every step of the way. You can expect a warm, welcoming, and confidential environment where you'll feel safe to share at your own pace. I look forward to working with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our work together, we’ll begin by exploring your past experiences with mental health treatment, along with the symptoms you’re currently facing. This will help us understand what medications may be most effective for you, based on your unique needs and history. As we develop a treatment plan, we’ll closely monitor your progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the best possible outcome.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session with me starts with a conversation about your current mental health symptoms, challenges, and any history of treatment you've had. I take time to listen carefully, as understanding the full scope of your experiences is essential to creating a tailored treatment plan. For those seeking medication management, we’ll discuss your current symptoms in detail to determine which medications may be most effective for your unique situation. If you’ve already tried medications, we’ll explore what worked or didn’t work, and adjust accordingly. Please note, that I do not prescribe controlled substances as part of my practice. In addition to medication management, I also practice talk therapy. Our sessions may include therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or mindfulness practices, depending on your needs. The goal is to not only address your symptoms but also understand and work through the underlying factors contributing to your mental health concerns. Throughout our time together, I prioritize open communication, so you’ll always be part of the decision-making process. We’ll regularly check in on your progress, adjust the plan as needed, and ensure you’re feeling supported in your journey toward healing.
