About Dr. Brian Choi

Dr. Choi is originally from South Korea, but grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, after he and his family immigrated to the U.S. in 1988. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in chemical engineering and graduating with summa cum laude. He then attended medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, followed by residency in internal medicine and fellowship in medical oncology at University of Wisconsin at Madison. He and his family relocated to Southern California and joined Compassionate Cancer Care in July 2008. Since joining Compassionate Cancer Care, Dr. Choi has become one of the most highly regarded oncologists in Riverside and surrounding communities. He is the chair of the weekly tumor boards at Riverside Community Hospital and a member of the Cancer Committee. He is experienced in managing all types of cancer conditions and actively participates in clinical trials in order to provide his patients with cutting-edge treatments. Dr. Choi is fluent in both English and Korean. He enjoys listening to classical music and playing basketball.
