Getting to know Brian Doyle

Brian Doyle is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Molloy University. He has experience working in various mental health settings and incorporates a holistic approach to treatment that focuses on medication management and lifestyle changes. He believes that a strong therapeutic relationship with clients helps them grow and achieve optimal health and well-being. If you're interested in medication management,

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients is essential to providing the best care. My practice focuses on listening to clients and allowing them to play an active role in the treatment process. Although medication is important, I also believe that exercise, adequate sleep, and proper nutrition are essential to managing stress and improving overall mood. I treat anxiety and depression symptoms by encouraging lifestyle changes while also providing medication management and therapeutic techniques.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The initial intake appointment will focus on an in depth overall history of the client, including current symptoms, treatment and psychiatric/medical history. Towards the end of the appointment we will discuss a treatment plan. I like to meet more frequently with clients in the beginning to build therapeutic rapport and understand ways of helping the client to manage their symptoms. Eventually, follow up appointments are done on a monthly basis.

Brian takes all the parameters into account before making a decision and pays attention into slightest details of what you describe as your physical or mental experiences. Basically he cares.

    Nice, caring and responsible

Brian was really helpful! He's to the point and professional, but seemed very warm and invested in my mental health. He referred me to a colleague with expertise in my area of concern, so I don't think our paths will cross again. Still, I commend his thorough, efficient, and compassionate care.
After reading many reviews was looking forward to my visit with Brian. I was in a very bad place and after essentially begging for immediate help I found him combative and unhelpful. I walked away feeling more defeated than before the appointment.
    Good visit!
Dr. Boyle is just an overall great guy. He listens, he's genuine, and what I liked most is that he truly wants what is best for you. After 10-minutes into our first meeting, it was like we knew each other for years.
