About Dr. Brian Pekkerman

Dr. Brian Pekkerman is an interventional Pain Medicine physician and Chief of the department of Integrative Pain Medicine. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and fellowship training in Interventional Pain and Sports medicine at OSS (Orthopaedic and Spine Specialists) Health. Dr. Pekkerman treats a wide array of musculoskeletal disorders of the spine, peripheral joints, tendons and muscles. He believes in a multi-discipinary treatment model including physical therapy, medication, and interventional pain procedures. These techniques include minimally invasive fluorscopically guided spine procedures and advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr. Pekkerman enjoys working with his patients as a team to provide the tools necessary to overcome their injuries and not only improve their pain, but more importantly their overall function and quality of life.
