Tell us what makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider.
I love to create a safe space for patients to address their various medical needs and concerns without judgment or bias. I truly enjoy the opportunities to teach and educate my patients-whether it be explaining how a new medication works, discussing long-term disease prevention and sometimes even reversal of preexisting conditions, or offering diet and exercise recommendations… you name it! I love helping people, always have and always will.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
It's truly important for me to be the patient's advocate while empowering them to advocate for themselves too. Physical well-being is just as important as mental well-being, and I'm honored to help my patients in all facets of their medical journey.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
My husband and I live in Annapolis, MD with our two little boys, Wes and Ben. We are an active family and love to ride bikes together, take long walks, swim, and hit every playground in town! I love the great outdoors with my family (when it's not freezing out!), cooking, taking barre classes, date nights with my husband, and visiting my family in Texas as often as I can!
