Getting to know Brittany Kaewell

Brittany Kaewell, MSN, APRN, PMHNP, is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner dedicated to building therapeutic relationships with individuals seeking mental health support. She earned her Master's in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Rowan University, complementing her educational foundation with bachelor's degrees from Drexel University and The Pennsylvania State University. Drawing from her unique background, she takes a comprehensive approach to treatment, focusing on the whole person-body, mind, and spirit-to foster lasting mental wellness.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I approach therapy from a holistic standpoint, meaning that we’ll explore not just your thoughts and feelings, but also how your daily habits, environment, and lifestyle might be influencing your mental health. Often, small changes in areas like sleep, nutrition, exercise, and stress management can have a significant impact on how you feel. I’ll support you in identifying these areas and work with you to find realistic, sustainable changes that can improve your well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session with me is designed to be a safe, welcoming space where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges together. From the very start, I want you to know that my approach is warm and non-judgmental—I'm here to listen, support, and work alongside you. If medication is appropriate, we’ll talk through options and make decisions together about what could support your journey. But remember, medication is just one tool, and I believe in taking a holistic approach to your care. I also believe that our work is a collaborative process, so we’ll check in regularly to see how things are going, and together we’ll decide when it's the right time for follow-up sessions. I’m along this journey with you, and I’m committed to supporting you every step of the way, adjusting our approach as needed to help you feel your best.

I am absolutely happy with the provider. The office was not clear about coverage. Both my insurance company and the provider told me it was in network and I was billed 300. I called the office and was told to talk to the biller which you have to write an email to. Waiting on that response.
