She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After gaining extensive experience as a nurse across several disciplines, she then went on to obtain her Post-Master’s Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of South Alabama in 2018. Brittany has worked in outpatient psychiatry since 2019 and firmly believes in leading with empathy to empower and collaborate with patients in developing individualized treatment plans for the most success. Brittany lives in San Diego with her husband, Ragamuffin cat, and Chow/Golden senior rescue.

I’ve had three telehealth appointments with this lady so far, and I really like her. She’s kind, listens, clearly enjoys helping people, is not judgmental (that’s been hard for me to find in the psychiatric field), encouraging, I never have to wait for my appointment to begin on time, phones in my prescriptions quickly, and I’m also *pretty sure* she took an extra half hour with me for my initial intake appointment. She is helping me gently taper off of a benzo, and helping me figure out which alternative medications are better for me longterm and especially currently- during a really wild time in my life. Very encouraging re: getting therapy (I also have some trauma there) and has solid ideas about what I need.
I’ve had a tough time finding someone in the psychiatric field who has great bedside manner and knows what they’re doing. If you’re on the fence and reading this, I recommend giving her a shot!
