Brittany Purdy Angeja, LMFT

Marriage and Family Therapist
CA
I work with individuals and families dealing with a wide variety of stressors. I'm highly skilled in working with trauma, PTSD, c-PTSD, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief/loss, and self-compassion. I utilize an eclectic approach with each client, but especially enjoy focusing on boundary issues/codependency, Highly Sensitive People, nervous system regulation, and self-love. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Sacramento. I'd love to chat if you feel like we'd be a good match. I know therapy can be scary at first, but I take a casual approach that leaves my clients feeling safe and often looking forward to the next session.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am trauma-informed and culturally competent. I understand that I have had specialized training to reach treatment goals, but only you are the expert of your own life; I am here to walk beside you on this healing journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Sessions are 50 minutes. When first working with someone, it's helpful to meet weekly, if that's doable of course. As more coping skills are learned and feelings processed, we can begin to titrate sessions and push them out to as-needed.
