“From the very first contact I was impressed. To send a message from ZocDoc and to get a response from Brittney herself past 5 p.m. same day was unheard of, yet she did. Brittney was so warm and inviting. It's not easy to seek couple counseling and she was so courteous. There was equal communication from both of us and she really showed she cared and wanted to help. It was never a focus of money rather what can I do to help you. I look forward to future sessions. ”

Getting to know Brittney Santillo

Hi! My name is Brittney! I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. I earned my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in NV and UT, a Licensed Clinical Alcohol Drug Counselor in NV, and EMDR trained in Las Vegas, NV. Living in Vegas, I have had the privilege of being exposed to diverse populations along with alternative lifestyles. I have nearly 8 years of experience working in a non-profit setting with a diverse range of populations, including adolescents, families, couples, LGBTQIA individuals, those in the entertainment industry, and individuals involved in the justice system/probation/federal, as well as running groups. I am a major advocate for self-love, self-acceptance, and emotional well-being in both my personal and professional life. I use a strength-based and client-driven approach in therapy. It's very important to me to offer a safe and comfortable space for all of my clients. I enjoy incorporating a Person-Centered Approach with Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR. I also work with couples and tailor my approach based on their unique presentation. I provide a safe, nurturing space to help you become the best version of yourself. I am non-judgmental, compassionate, a good listener, a teacher, collaborator, and I always have your best interest in mind. I will be someone who roots for you, encourages you, is occasionally humorous, and offers insight to help you view situations differently than you have before.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I often use EMDR and Person Centered therapy approaches to my practice. First session allows me the opportunity to explore what is bringing you into therapy and the best course of action to take with ongoing treatment planning and recommendation. I will help guide you along your journey of self-discovery, but I do interweave EMDR if needed for trauma or even intrusive thoughts.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Before choosing to work with one another I offer a 15 minute free consultation in order to screen what the issues are and scheduling along with pay source to make sure we are a good fit! After that I do a full Assessment and then figure out treatment plan and best course of action with the client collaboratively.
