Getting to know Bruria Eisner

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 12 years of clinical nursing experience at a leading academic medical center. I provide compassionate, personalized virtual mental health care for teens and adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, stress, burnout, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I combine thoughtful medication management with therapeutic support, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies tailored to each client’s goals and lifestyle. My goal is to help clients feel more balanced, focused, confident, and supported in their day-to-day lives. I currently offer private-pay telehealth psychiatric care for lower-acuity ADHD and anxiety evaluations and medication management throughout New York. Insurance is not currently accepted. Please note: I am not currently accepting patients seeking substance use/addiction treatment, court-ordered evaluations, crisis services, active eating disorder treatment, severe mental illness/psychosis, complex psychiatric cases, or high-acuity adolescent patients. Patients requiring urgent or higher levels of care are best evaluated in person or through specialized programs.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being open about what they are experiencing. My approach is collaborative and thoughtful, with an emphasis on helping clients feel heard, educated, and involved in their treatment plan. My practice is best suited for lower-acuity teens and adults seeking support for ADHD, anxiety, stress, burnout, and related concerns through outpatient telehealth care. I currently offer private-pay services only and do not participate with insurance plans. Please note that I am not currently accepting patients seeking substance use/addiction treatment, crisis services, court-ordered evaluations, severe mental illness/psychosis care, or high-acuity psychiatric treatment via telehealth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Treatment begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we discuss current symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle factors, stressors, and treatment goals. I take time to understand the full picture rather than rushing to prescribe medication. When appropriate, treatment may include medication management, psychoeducation, supportive therapy, coping strategies, behavioral interventions, and collaboration with therapists or other providers. Follow-up visits focus on monitoring progress, adjusting treatment thoughtfully, and helping clients build sustainable long-term improvement. For new patients, intake paperwork and consent forms must be completed prior to the initial appointment. Please note that all appointments booked directly through this Zocdoc profile operate strictly on an Out-of-Network / Private Pay basis. We do not accept insurance panels on this platform. For patients looking to utilize in-network commercial benefits, please consult your insurer's directory to locate our alternative in-network scheduling channels.
