Bryana Merrell, SLP, CCC - SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
VA
Hi! I’m Bryana. I became an SLP because I wanted to help people succeed in ways that really matter. When someone is able to share their thoughts, connect with others, or feel understood for the first time, it’s incredibly rewarding to be part of that process. I’ve also had the privilege of working with patients on swallowing and cognitive rehabilitation, and those experiences have shown me just how far-reaching and life-changing this work can be. I continue to expand my clinical skill set through advanced coursework and specialty training in areas such as LSVT LOUD, Walt Fritz Myofascial Release and manual therapy, MBSImP, and FEES/videostroboscopy training through the University of California–San Francisco. These certifications strengthen my ability to evaluate and treat voice, motor speech, and swallowing disorders with a high level of precision and clinical insight. This ongoing professional development allows me to provide comprehensive, evidence-based, and up-to-date care across a wide range of communication and swallowing needs. My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including private practice, acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and K-12 schools both in-person and via teletherapy. I take a client-centered and highly individualized approach to therapy. I also prioritize functional outcomes, helping each client build confidence, independence, and effective communication skills.
