I’ve been to several psychiatrists to treat anxiety and moderate depression. Dr Wilson’s techniques and knowledge of medication helped me out of a deeply depressive state and provided me with the necessary tools to leverage myself out of my medical struggles. He is truest special and a stand out in his field. I’m grateful beyond words that I found him.

I thought it was a very good session. He listened carefully and thought through my problems with me. He seemed patient and didn't rush to prescribing medication without explaining the options first. I'm glad I found him.

More about Dr. Burgess Wilson, MD

As a psychiatrist I am comfortable assessing for and prescribing medications, but I don't see people for medication management alone. Instead, I always combine whatever prescribing I do with ongoing weekly, or biweekly, psychotherapy. If you're looking for a psychiatrist to only prescribe medications I'm not going to be the right fit! As a psychotherapist I emphasize self understanding and support, but at the same time I try and help people make real-world changes in how they think, feel and behave. In my work I help people with disorders involving anxiety, trauma and depression. I also support people in maintaining relationships, and help with feelings of internal vulnerability, and am very skilled in helping people with personality disorders. At this point I don’t treat problems involving Bipolar I Disorder or Schizophrenia however. Please note I’m not part of any insurance plan, but I do provide fully completed claim forms that can be submitted for reimbursement, based on your out-of-network benefits.
