Getting to know Samuel Eckert

I have always been passionate about mental health. I am grateful that my own life experiences have led me to become an ally and support for my patients. I pride myself on giving a voice to my patients and assisting them in achieving their goals. I practice active listening and empathy while providing a comfortable and safe environment for my patients to accomplish their goals. I believe that everyone should receive a thorough approach to their care that includes psychotherapy, medication management, and lifestyle changes that are unique to them. I am a licensed and board-certified physician assistant specializing in ADDHD Medication Management, Substance Abuse, Adjustment Disorder, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Grief and Loss, OCD, PTSD, and Stress Management. I grew up in Rockford, Illinois, and continued my education at the University of Missouri obtaining my Undergraduate degree in Health Sciences. I went on to study in Memphis, TN at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center where I earned a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. During my program, I was trained in psychiatry, women’s health, internal medicine, family medicine, emergency medicine, and pediatrics. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your wellness journey.
