“I've been receiving annual skin screenings through my late 20's (now 30), due to a family history of skin cancer. This was my first time visiting Dr. Staples's office, and I was thoroughly impressed. In the past, other dermatologists have spent 5-10 minutes on my skin screening. I've often felt like those docs didn't look close enough, or only wanted to look at the moles that I specifically pointed out to them.
Dr. Staples examined almost every mole (I have a ton) with his scope, moving quickly and efficiently. I think he spent almost 30 minutes on my skin screening, probably going over the time allotted for my appointment. I imagine he doesn't typically do this, but understood the risks associated with my family history and wanted to be thorough. His bedside manner was excellent, and he kept me well informed of everything he saw. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.”

Dr. C. Grant Staples is a board-certified dermatologist with over 5 years of experience in medical dermatology care. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas, San Antonio, and completed his residency in Dermatology at Texas A&M University Health Science Center in Bryan. Dr. Staples provides skin cancer detection and treatment as well as care for complex conditions including, but not limited to, dysplastic nevi, hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, hyperhidrosis, eczema, and contact dermatitis. As a physician, he enjoys building trusting relationships with his patients. He understands that many of the issues patients face are chronic-whether skin cancer, psoriasis, or acne-and how frustrating it can be to manage them. Together, he works with his patients to develop treatment plans that fit not only their lifestyles but also their budgets.
