“I am an older patient that has a solid treatment plan. My previous provider retired unexpectedly. I was very pleased that I didn’t need to start all over again. Cailee did a great job getting to the root of my needs and did an excellent job meeting them. I highly recommend.”

Getting to know Cailee Walden

Reaching out for help can take a lot of courage. Together, we will set goals, build resiliency, and assess patterns and barriers to achieving those goals. I work with each person to determine what well-being looks like in the context of their life and goals. I have worked with a broad range of people but specialize in working with individuals struggling with Bipolar, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders, and Substance Use. I also work with individuals coping with grief, trauma, and relational issues. I incorporate motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and humanistic therapies into my sessions. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from New York University, which informs my compassionate and evidence-based approach to care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Before becoming a clinician, I worked as a registered nurse for several years. I started in medical-surgical areas, but most of my nursing experience involved working with chronic mental illness and substance use disorders in community and inpatient mental health settings. I went on to receive my Master's degree in nursing from New York University as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a subspecialty in treating substance use disorders. During my training, I was immersed in clinics treating the severely persistently mentally ill with co-occurring disorders, and also trained in private practices. Since graduating, I have continued to address addiction and primary mental health in the community, working with private and clinic-based clients.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As a practitioner, I believe that each individual has the potential and ability to achieve their vision of health and wellness. The foundation of my practice is connection, safety, and flexibility – all designed to meet people where they are. I utilize psychotherapy, medications, and holistic treatment to align with people and help provide structure, support, and hope.

Lovely experience all around. I made the appointment for medication management and was pleasantly surprised by how in depth Cailee was in our initial conversation (not just checking the boxes). She’s also very candid and easy to talk to. Highly recommend.
After a long struggle with mental health troubles my doctor of 12 years retired. After going to multiple other doctors I found unhelpful I was directed to callie and thank goodness! I’m not an easy client and she is so caring, patient and educated. Which a background in psychology myself and battling mental health my entire life this has been something I have always dealt with and having the correct team is the most important thing! Callie and this practice is it! They are amazing! I’m so thankful I found them! Definitely recommend Callie and wholistic psychiatry!
