“We have had an amazing experience with Caitlyn Champion. From the very beginning, she has been incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. She takes the time to really understand my daughter and meets her exactly where she is. The connection she has built with my daughter is remarkable. My daughter feels comfortable, safe, and truly heard in her sessions, which has made a meaningful difference in her growth and confidence. What stands out most is how intentional and compassionate Caitlyn's approach is. She values community and connection, and that clearly shows in the way she supports not just my daughter, but our family as a whole. Her guidance has been both professional and deeply human. We are so grateful for the care she provides and highly recommend her to any family, or individual, looking for a therapist who is attentive, skilled, and truly invested.”

Getting to know Caitlyn Champion

I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) offering telehealth across Colorado and in-person care in the Parker area. I specialize in working with women, children, and teens, providing thoughtful medication management, comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, and, for select clients, equine-assisted therapy. My practice is built around a simple belief: psychiatric care should feel collaborative, unhurried, and genuinely supportive. Whether you're brand new to psychiatric care or looking for a provider who actually takes the time to understand how you're doing, I want this to feel like a good fit, not just a checkbox. Who I work with: I work especially well with women, children, adolescents, and families. I treat ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, and challenges that don't always come with a clear label: life transitions, emotional regulation, stress, and behavioral concerns. What to expect: Initial evaluations are 60 minutes. We use that time to talk through what's actually going on in your daily life — not just symptoms on a form. Ongoing medication management is a real conversation, not a quick check-in. I track how you're feeling and functioning over time and adjust thoughtfully. Care is integrative — we may explore therapy, supplements, lab work, and lifestyle factors alongside medication. For first-timers: If you've never seen a psychiatrist before and feel uncertain about it, that's completely normal, and you're welcome here. My goal is to make this feel more human than clinical. Equine-assisted therapy: I offer this on a limited, case-by-case basis, primarily for children and teens, in a calm outdoor setting in the Denver metro area.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Medication management doesn't have to feel like a revolving door. My approach is collaborative, we talk about how you're actually doing, not just whether you took your medication. I explain my reasoning, answer your questions, and we make decisions together. For medication, I'll help you start, adjust, or safely taper when that's the right move. Nothing is done without your understanding and input. I also work closely with therapists and other providers when appropriate. If you're already working with someone, I'm happy to be part of that team. If you're new to psychiatric care and feeling uncertain, that's completely normal. I want this to feel like a conversation, not an appointment on a checklist. My goal is for you to leave each visit with clarity about what's happening and what comes next.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We begin with a 60-minute psychiatric evaluation... unhurried, thorough, and focused on understanding you, not just diagnosing you. We talk through what's been happening in your daily life, what's felt hard, and what kind of support would actually help. From there, we create a treatment plan that's individualized to your life, goals, and preferences. Ongoing visits focus on how things are working for you over time. I consider medication, therapy, supplements, lifestyle, and environment as part of a whole picture, and I make adjustments thoughtfully, not automatically. If you're looking to taper off a medication, I can support that process as well. I'm always open to collaborating with other members of your care team, therapists, pediatricians, or other specialists, to make sure your support feels connected and cohesive.

Caitlyn has been amazing with my care. She is quick to reply and always shows that she is truly interested in making sure I'm taken care of. I heard of her through a friend that also had nothing but good feedback. Highly recommend!
I found Caitlyn by accident and I am sure glad I did! She is an attentive listener, provides a genuinely holistic response to my complex mental state and acts in a way that makes me feel like medicine is not the only solution which I greatly appreciate. I would recommend Caitlyn to anywho who wants support finding what tools work best for their specific symptoms and needs. She rocks!
Caitlyn is warm, compassionate, and amazing! We were drawn to her due to her expertise of knowledge and that she offers holistic care and person-centered care. Highly recommend!
I'm seeing Caitlyn Champion via video calls, and everything has been fantastic. She was very thorough with the "onboarding" process, with both questionnaires as well as an initial appointment where she took the time (an hour!) to really listen and understand my needs, concerns, and goals. I like that she is fully supportive of my desire to wean off of a certain medication, and she even took the time to look further into another treatment that I have been considering so she could give even better care. It has been exceptionally easy to schedule appointments with her, and she's just generally very responsive, respectful, authentic, and helpful. I can tell she really cares about me and my needs, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a great psychiatrist.
Caitlyn is super flexible and understanding. She always makes recommendations after hearing what I want. Makes me feel more included/ in charge.
She is not only super kind hearted but takes the time to listen and understand what is going on and also gives positive outlooks instead of negatives. Also gives me tons of tools that actually work very well for my autism. I’d highly recommend!!!!
Caitlyn is awesome and I'm very grateful to have her as my psychiatrist! She is very considerate, easy to talk to, and I feel very comfortable talking with her. She helped easy my worries about medications, answered all of my questions is LGBTQ+ friendly and is just a great human. Highly recommend her if your a young adult too!!
