“I have to admit that I was so fortunate and maybe lucky to have Dr. Mahle as my first psychotherapist I’ve ever had. When I was looking for a therapist, I had one main concern that my English was so bad (I’m immigrant, English is my third language). I was afraid I would have communication issues to deliver my story and to be understood. But dealing with extreme anxiety and dark thoughts, I decided to go with the first Doctor highly rated in Zocdoc, and that was Dr. Mahle. Ok I was astonished by the level of patience he had, to make sense of my narrative; I felt understood, and he, sometimes, anticipates to read my thoughts and feelings when I lack the words to express them. It’s been two years now, my mental health progress is so dramatic, his treatment helps me break the vicious circle of negative thoughts and also overcome the self limitations I set for myself for years. I could never thank him enough for making his office a safe place where I can express my sincere, delicate feelings in a non-judgmental, respectful and compassionate environment. ? ?”

Unprofessional, just wants your money, avoid!!!
Dr. Mahle is a breath of fresh air in the sea of typical New York City psychiatrists that take the "medicines first approach." He is compassionate, empathetic, extremely easy to talk to and opens up new avenues of thinking about situations that can otherwise feel like a dead end. Highly, highly recommended.
I'm so grateful I found Dr Mahle, he is an excellent communicator, has me on the right treatment, and is super to work with in regards to ease of scheduling and access. I've lived in the area for over a decade and tried many other physicians in this field, and I can say with confidence that Dr Mahle is the best I have been to and I'm glad I found him on ZocDoc!
So very happy to meet Doctor Mahle. He made me feel very confortable right away and I am definitely starting my therapy with him.
I HATE. Psychiatrists. They've always made me very uncomfortable. I've been seeing Doctor Mahle for almost 6 months and my life has improved ten fold. Very kind, attentive, understanding human being.
I found my therapy experience to be valuable and helpful. I learned some things about myself. My therapist was honest and always concerned for me. I was able to trust him and express my feelings. As tough as it was at times, I was happy to work with him.
Excellent psychotherapist.
Visits with Dr. Mahle have always gone well. There is often little to no wait time. He has been very attentive and has excellent bedside manner.
