My priority from the start is building a relationship where patients feel comfortable talking to me as though I were a trusted friend. I consider it an honor that they put their faith in me to help them during a time of vulnerability, and I do not take this lightly. I want everyone to feel that the plan developed is centered around their priorities. With a Master's in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Wilkes University, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care that respects each person's unique needs and goals.

Embracing a holistic approach, I aim to understand every aspect of your life that you believe influences your mental well-being, whether it's relationships, home environment, work-related stress, or potential physical factors impacting your mood. Over time, I've developed a passion for tackling complex scenarios that require unconventional solutions. Each person is multifaceted, and their unique needs call for a tailored plan.
Navigating multiple uncertainties has led me to develop diverse strategies to uncover the root causes of issues. Paying close attention to seemingly minor details and patterns can significantly alter outcomes, and it's incredibly rewarding to witness a renewed sense of hope where it was once lost. With empathy and care, I strive to understand your unique circumstances and provide personalized support.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The first appointment focuses on obtaining all the important information that brought you to the visit, and what your priorities are to improve your quality of life. Depending on the circumstances, screening tools might be used to help clarify any uncertainty.
During the first session (and the second if more time is needed) developing a plan together that you see as being helpful and realistic to follow through with is done, implemented, and modified as needed in follow-up visits.

Dr. Boyce was willing to explain all of the nuances that come along with ADHD and its treatment. Rather than rattling off questions to begin the appointment, Dr. Boyce got to know my life and my treatment history, then worked with me to come up with an appropriate treatment plan.

Candice is a delight to work with. I've never had a psychiatrist be so incredibly responsive and accommodating. She's pleasant, easy-going, kind, and you can tell she cares a lot about her clients. I'm so happy I switched from a large office where I'd wait forever for help, medication refills, and appointments to Candice who makes it feel like what I say and need is truly important. I'm very impressed and hope to stick with her for treatment for years to come!

Candice was able to get me in quickly for an appointment when my family doctor didn’t know what other medicine to try. She figured out that I was getting the wrong type of medicine for my condition. She took a lot of time to explain to me why the medicine was wrong. Very knowledgeable.

My visit with Dr. Boyce was really different from other doctors. I didn't feel rushed and she listened to everything I wanted to say before she spoke. She asked a lot of detailed questions and explained why she thought my treatment wasn't working and what made her think another one would. I would recommend her to others.
