Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
MD
Are you tired of white-knuckling your way through life—appearing strong and capable on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted inside? You may be managing a career, caring for others, and keeping everything moving while struggling with racing thoughts, constant worry, difficulty sleeping, poor concentration, irritability, or burnout. You don’t have to keep carrying it all alone. I provide warm, compassionate psychiatric care for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, personalized, and judgment-free. Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan that may include medication management, practical coping strategies, and supportive lifestyle changes. My goal is for you to feel genuinely heard—not rushed, dismissed, or reduced to a diagnosis—and to help you feel calmer, clearer, and more like yourself again. All appointments are conducted via telehealth. I am licensed and accepting patients in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Florida. Healing is possible. You don’t have to do it alone.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You may be accustomed to being the strong one—the woman everyone depends on—while quietly feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and emotionally exhausted. When you work with me, you don’t have to perform, minimize what you’re feeling, or worry that you’re complaining too much or being “too much.” Our appointments are conversations, not lectures. My goal is to understand you—not just your symptoms. I want to hear your story and learn about your thought patterns, past experiences, and what may have shaped where you are today. That may include trauma, loss, disappointment, betrayal, or years of carrying more than anyone realized. We can also explore the quieter disappointments: dreams that remain unfulfilled, plans that did not unfold as you hoped, and the life, relationship, career, or future you imagined but have not yet experienced. These things can carry real emotional weight and contribute to anxiety, grief, overwhelm, and exhaustion. Or perhaps none of this reflects your experience, and you still cannot explain why you feel the way you do. Either way, your symptoms matter, and I want to hear your story. We’ll look at the whole picture—your sleep, stress, physical health, relationships, work, school, children, daily habits, and anything else affecting your well-being. My approach is holistic and collaborative. I prescribe medication when appropriate, but I will never treat you like a list of symptoms, hand you a prescription, and rush you out the door. We’ll discuss your options and create a treatment plan that fits your needs and your real life. You deserve to feel heard, respected, and cared for as a whole person. I will meet you with compassion, honesty, and without judgment—and partner with you as you work toward feeling calmer, clearer, and more like yourself again.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first appointment is a conversation—not an interrogation or a checklist. It is a genuine exchange that allows me to get to know you as a person and understand what has brought you to this point. We’ll discuss your current concerns, medical and mental health history, past experiences, sleep, stress, relationships, daily habits, and the different responsibilities you’re carrying. Together, we’ll begin connecting the dots and develop a treatment plan that fits your needs and your life. When clinically appropriate, I may order laboratory testing to rule out medical conditions that could be contributing to your symptoms. Once your testing is completed, I will review the results with you directly and explain how they may affect your care. Follow-up appointments are generally 30 minutes. We’ll discuss how you’re feeling, evaluate how your medication is working, address side effects or concerns, and adjust your treatment plan as needed. I’ll also continue supporting you as we work through the challenges contributing to your emotional overwhelm. My goal is to help you feel lighter and become more present in your life—less consumed by worry about the future and less held back by the pain of the past. I want to help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and freedom so you can begin living your life more fully. If this sounds like the kind of care you’ve been looking for, I invite you to schedule an appointment.
