About Dr. Carl Hicks
"I have served Southwest Houston and the Sugar Land area for more than 15 years. I specialize in total joint replacement and the treatment of hip, knee and shoulder pain, arthritis and sports injuries. I provide each patient with a full understanding of treatment options, with the goal of achieving the highest quality of life with the least amount of risk."
Dr. Hicks is one of the leading joint replacement surgeons in the greater Houston and Fort Bend area, with vast experience in all aspects of the procedure. He is highly proficient in the latest procedures that allow for quicker recovery times, enabling patients to return to their active lifestyles. He is the team physician for Austin High School, and has served in that capacity since its inception in 1995. Dr. Hicks completed his orthopedic surgery residency at UTMB and went on to complete an adult reconstructive fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

I wish doctor could spend a little more time with me since it's my first time seeing him. He could explain something about the cause of my symptom and arthritis and what older patients need to take care of themselves in their daily lives.

The staff was nice and friendly! The visit with Dr. Hicks was very good, he would rather rule out a diagnosis than jump right in to surgery.
