What should a new client know about working with you?

I value clear communication and transparency, so I’ll always take the time to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and next steps. My goal is for you to feel informed, empowered, and actively involved in your care. I also focus on building long-term wellness, not just short-term symptom relief. That means helping you develop tools to manage symptoms, improve emotional balance, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence. Most importantly, I meet you where you are, whether you’re just starting your mental health journey or continuing care, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our initial appointment, we’ll complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. This includes discussing your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and goals for treatment. I take time to understand the full picture so we can develop a personalized care plan together. If appropriate, we’ll discuss diagnosis and treatment options, which may include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and coping strategies. I always prioritize education, so you feel confident and informed about any decisions regarding your care. During follow-up visits, we’ll monitor your progress, review how you’re responding to treatment, and make any necessary adjustments. I also incorporate supportive therapy techniques, helping you build skills to manage stress, anxiety, mood changes, and life challenges.
