About Dr. Carlos Gonzalez
Dr. Carlos Gonzalez is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras in 1977. He continued his studies at Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1981. He then moved to New York to complete his Medical Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. He received his certification as a Doctor in Internal Medicine in 1984 and has been a Diplomate of the Board of Internal Medicine since 1999.
After finishing his residency, Dr. Gonzalez worked as a medical attending physician at King Harbor Nursing Home in the Bronx, New York, where he provided care for senior patients with multiple medical conditions. He also served as a medical attending in the Emergency Department at Woodhull Hospital from 1978 until 2008. Since 1986, he has maintained a private practice in the neighborhoods of Corona and Elmhurst. His office, Broadway Internal Medicine, P.C., provides primary care for adolescents, adults, and seniors. The office is equipped with the latest medical technology, including electronic medical records, electronic prescriptions, and a patient portal to facilitate access and communication with patients.
