About Carlos Rivera

Carlos Rivera is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare. He began his medical career as a Registered Nurse before advancing to become a Nurse Practitioner, providing comprehensive care to patients across a variety of clinical settings. A proud military veteran, Carlos started his service in 1987 as a combat medic in the U.S. Army and retired as an officer in 2017. During his military career, he worked in several Army hospitals throughout the United States and Europe, gaining extensive experience in diverse healthcare environments. Carlos is fluent in both English and Spanish and brings a broad clinical background that includes hospice care, medical-surgical nursing, home health, emergency medicine, critical care, wound management, and healthcare administration. Through these experiences, Carlos developed a strong passion for patient education, preventive care, and empowering patients to take an active role in their health and wellness.
