About Carly Onopa

I'm a Registered Dietitian and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, as well as an IAEDP Approved Supervisor. I hold a Master's degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. With five years of experience in the eating disorder field, I am the owner of Devoted Recovery. I have a passion for lifelong health and believe in nourishing the body, mind, and soul. I use a weight-inclusive approach that embraces intuitive eating principles to help my clients heal their relationship with all foods. I am deeply passionate about nutrition science and believe in the power of science to help combat eating disorder thoughts. My faith has been a cornerstone in my life and now in my nutrition counseling, as I view my practice as a ministry caring for all people, especially marginalized individuals impacted by eating disorders. I also offer faith-based nutrition counseling* for those interested in exploring their faith in their eating disorder recovery journey. I believe full recovery is possible for anyone with an eating disorder, which fuels my desire to increase access to care for all. Additionally, I am passionate about increasing eating disorder awareness and prevention through presentations and legislative advocacy. When I'm not working, I enjoy being a mom to my daughter and puppy, spending time outside, enjoying good food, and I'm probably listening to an audiobook.
