Meet Dr. Carmen Washington, EdD, FNP-BC, a family nurse practitioner, educator, and certified Botox injector. Dr. Washington has been a practicing Family Practice provider for 16 years, and previous adjunct college Professor for 10 year, now current preceptor to NP students during their clinical rotations. Experiences include the assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute medical conditions but her passion is the chronic complicated conditions that most family providers refer to specialists.A common saying by Dr. Washington is that “I am family medicine, trained to do most things, I refer only when it is complicated or out of my scope” With that being stated she manages Diabetes, thyroid disorders, hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis/ osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, migraine headaches, allergies, hair loss, acne;
just to name a few conditions. In addition, she enjoys performing minor, in-office procedures (toenail removals, wart removal, joint injections, trigger finger injections, trigger point, and suturing). Missing from her practice was the ability to assist patients with the latest technology in migraine treatment, hyperhidrosis, spasms of the face as well as correction of the asymmetry left from facial paralysis of bell’s palsy. It is not only about making an individual more beautiful, but a mission of addressing the social stigma that comes from suffering from the chronic issues deemed to be untreatable. With the addition of Botox she can now provide a full-service of treatment options to all clients.

Carmen is very easy to deal with and has a wonderful demeanor. She has some insight that textbook doctors do not have and explains things completely,
Aging is very confusing at times and It is difficult to understand what is happening to my body. She always alleviates any stress I might have about my physical problems and getting older.
