Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
274 Madison Ave, Rm 1501, New York, NY
*After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment* I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from Hunter College. I previously worked as a bedside step-down nurse, where I found the close collaboration among patients, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers both rewarding and effective. In that setting, meaningful changes could be implemented quickly, with input from every member of the care team thoughtfully considered. Currently, I provide telehealth services to adults in New York, offering psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and ADHD, conditions that can significantly affect daily life. These challenges may appear as difficulty with motivation or an inability to be fully present in important moments. Through therapy, individuals gain practical tools to manage symptoms and show up as their best selves in various life situations. Work-related burnout is another common issue, and exploring personal boundaries between work and life can be an important step in addressing it. Whether it involves scheduling moments of self-care before or after work, or identifying aspects of the job that spark gratitude, I help clients find ways to shift perspective and nurture a healthier relationship with their work life. Outside of work, my self-care can vary depending on my day. If it has been a busy day, then I love to unwind with a good show or a light crossword puzzle. Otherwise, picking up a good book or playing pickleball are a few of my other favorite pastimes.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Mental health is a personal journey, and it can look different for everyone. You don't have to walk that path alone; taking even the smallest step forward can lead to meaningful progress and a more fulfilling life. The decision to seek mental health care is rarely easy. It may involve revisiting painful experiences or opening up in ways you never have before. But making that choice is an act of courage. It's a way of reclaiming control over what may feel overwhelming, and the beginning of a journey toward a better quality of life. I'm passionate about breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. By creating space for open, honest conversations about our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and actions, we empower ourselves to tap into our inner strength and resilience. When choosing a mental health provider, it's important to find someone whose approach aligns with your goals and values. And remember, it's okay if it takes a few tries to find the right fit. Just like finding an exercise routine that works for you, the right therapeutic connection can make all the difference.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I treat ADHD by incorporating practical organizational strategies, such as calendar planning, to-do lists, and the Pomodoro technique, to support focus and time management. For anxiety, I use mindfulness-based exercises and cognitive strategies to challenge and reframe negative thought patterns. My Eastern cultural background, combined with a Western clinical approach, allows me to offer a whole-person model of care that extends beyond psychopharmacology. I believe that with empathetic and compassionate support, we can navigate life’s challenges together, fostering growth, resilience, and healing. You can expect a collaborative and personalized treatment plan. Together, we will integrate lifestyle changes and medication management as needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being, ultimately working toward the higher quality of life you deserve. In my work, I often draw from supportive therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients identify their strengths and make empowered, values-driven decisions aligned with their goals and aspirations.
