Carrie Hastings, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical and sport psychologist who is committed to creating spaces where athletes can process emotions while sharpening their mental agility. As a former NCAA Division I hurdler and sprinter at the University of Notre Dame, she recognizes the importance of prioritizing mental health and is passionate about decreasing the stigma associated with help-seeking behavior among athletes. Athletes of all ages are under tremendous pressure to succeed on the field while balancing sports with the demands of everyday life. Motivated by her own experiences during her tenure as a Division I athlete, Dr. Hastings works to ensure that athletes have safe and professionally managed spaces to cope with concerns around schoolwork, family, and outside factors like social media. She is the current team psychologist for the Los Angeles Rams of the NFL, Angel City Football Club, and the founder and CEO of Sport Psychology, Inc., a community resource dedicated to providing mental health and wellness support for athletes of all ages and levels, starting in elementary school. Within her practice, Dr. Hastings specializes in sport psychology, neuropsychological and psychological testing, and individual therapy. She believes that beyond athletic ability, it is holistic wellness that gives athletes a true shot at reaching their highest levels of performance. She is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and is also listed in the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Sport Psychology and Mental Training Registry. She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the nonprofit organization, SportsPsychMDs.
