At Mae Mental Wellness, my goal is to work collaboratively with my patients to develop a treatment plan that will result in improved mental wellness. I am a highly skilled and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with diverse expertise. I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice and am board certified in psychiatric mental health advanced practice nursing, an ADHD-certified clinical services provider, certified in family trauma therapy, emergency, critical care nursing and am a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt who stands at the forefront of advanced nursing practice and quality improvement in mental health care.
I specialize in providing compassionate and evidence-based care to those facing mental health challenges. In addition, I am a compassionate advocate for mental health and a catalyst for positive change in healthcare delivery. My multifaceted skills, continuous pursuit of knowledge, and dedication to patient well-being guide me as a leader in healthcare.
I offer flexible hours and am available for evening and weekend appointments through our virtual platform.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

1) We need intake information at least 48 hours before the appointment (insurance, ID, physical address, date of birth, email, telephone number)
2) Please review our controlled substances policies :
BENZODIAZEPINE POLICY
Providers at Mae Mental Wellness DO NOT prescribe benzodiazepines such as Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Ativan, etc., to treat anxiety at this time as a first course of treatment.
I am not able to offer couples therapy at this time.

Before making my appointment with Carol Milliken, I read her information and education background and I was impressed. I knew she might be the right fit for me and that is when I decided to book the appointment. Booking an appointment was so easy, she had so much availability at every time & even on weekends. Being a mom and working full time, this was important to me. When I finally met with Carol, she was so personable and she was able to meet all of my needs when it came to treating my specific mental health issues. She is compassionate & you can tell she loves what she does. In my opinion, she is better than anyone else I have seen previously. She actually listens to your problems & treats you accordingly. I will definitely be continuing my journey to a better mental health with Carol Milliken. She deserves more than 5 stars & I highly recommend her to anyone. I will be sharing her practice & her expertise with all of my friends, family, coworkers and anyone else that needs psych!
