Getting to know Carol Payton

Over the past 21 years, I have gained knowledge and experience to provide mental health and wellness support to our community. I have dedicated my life to healthcare in many aspects, including inpatient and outpatient care, leadership, and quality. I earned a Master’s in Nursing from Adelphi University, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016 (FNP), a Master’s in Business Administration from Stony Brook University in 2020 (MBA), and a Master’s as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2021. I am board certified and provide treatment across the patient’s lifespan. I offer psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and other modalities to meet patients’ mental health needs. I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. Over the years, I have gained experience in various nursing areas, including Surgical ICU/Trauma, Neurosurgery ICU, and as a Mental Health adjunct professor at Suffolk County Community College and Adelphi University. My goal is to help you in your time of need through the best modes of support I can provide. Hamptons NP in Psychiatry, PLLC offers support for depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and many other brain disorders. I also offer IV vitamin therapies to help you feel your best in daily life.
